Mrs. Petite started the company with her husband Mr. T. David Petite in 2003. Her career has been focused around the energy industry and technology licensing. In 1987 she graduated from Warwick University in the UK as an electrical engineer. She then joined South Western Electricity, where she took on the role of project manager developing renewable generation power plants, including wind and wood projects. She developed and ran 2 new businesses for South Western Electricity, one in peak load management and the other the first green commercial electricity trading program.
In 1996 Southern Company acquired South Western Electricity and she was transferred to Atlanta to provide knowledge transfer on the UK deregulated markets. There she led the development plans for a major retail play in the deregulated markets.
